New Features
Contact Details NEW 360 View  (Customer Request)
  • The Contact Detail page has two new sections that provides a 360-degree view of contacts.
  • The Communications Tab shows all calls and texts users have had with the contact.
  • The Involvement Tab displays all cases and intakes associated with the contact

When talking to a contact, it’s important to see all past communications and know which cases they’re involved in—especially if they’re part of more than one case. This helps you stay organized and deliver better client service.

Example use cases:

  • When negotiating medical bills, you need to quickly find all cases that involve the provider and see any past phone calls with them.
  • Before taking on a new client, it helps to check if they’ve been involved in other cases with your firm.
  • While working a case, you might want to review how similar cases with the same judge turned out.
  • If a referral partner asks for updates, you should be able to easily see all the cases they’ve referred.
  • When dealing with an insurance adjuster who’s involved in multiple cases, it’s helpful to see all shared case details.
  • Before calling or texting a contact, you’ll want to review all message threads and call notes from other cases to understand the full history.

Contact Communications Tab

The Contact Communications tab is now the default view for all contacts, including both providers and non-providers.

  • The Communications tab is accessible for users with Provider > Communications Tab Permissions enabled.

The Phone grid displays all columns and actions available in the Contact Communications grid, filtered to show only communications related to the current contact.

  • All actions available in the Global Communications Phone grid are also available in the Contact Communications Phone grid.
    • Users with Provider > Communications Tab > Can Modify permissions are able to assign, edit, or delete call logs from the grid.

The Text grid displays all columns and actions available in the Global Communications Text grid, filtered to show only messages related to the current contact.

  • All actions available in the Global Communications Text grid are also available in the Contact Communications Text grid.
  • Users with Provider > Communications Tab > Can Modify permissions are able to assign, edit, or delete text threads from the grid.

Contact Involvement Tab

The Involvement tab is now the default view for all contacts, including both providers and non-providers.

  • Access to the Involvement tab is available to users with the Provider > Involvement Tab permission enabled.
  • Users can view all cases and intakes that a given contact is involved in.
  • Users can search and filter within the Case and Intake Involvement tabs.
    • The available filters mirror those found in Browse Cases and Browse Intakes, with the addition of new Involvement filters.
    • The search bar filters the Case/Party Name column to help users quickly locate specific records.

Every unique involvement for each case that a contact is associated with is displayed as a separate row in the Cases grid within the Contact Involvement tab. This provides a more flexible and powerful alternative to the List Provider Usage workflow.

  • Users can customize the grid using columns available from Browse Cases.
  • A single click opens the case side-pane and double-clicking opens the case in a new tab.
  • Single-clicking a row opens the case in the side pane; double-clicking opens the case in a new browser tab.

Every unique involvement for each intake a contact is involved in is displayed as a separate row in the Intakes grid within the Contact Involvement tab.

  • Columns from "Browse Intakes" are available to add or customize in the grid.
  • Single click opens the intake side-pane and double clicking opens the intake in a new tab.

Print: Users can print the visible rows and columns of the Involvement tab (Case or Intake) directly from the browser.

Export: Users can export the full Involvement – Case or Involvement – Intake grid to PDF, CSV, or Excel format.

  • Default file title for Cases grid: [Last name,] [First Name] - Case Involvement
  • Default file title for Intakes grid: [Last name,] [First Name] - Intake Involvement

Dramatically Increased NeosAI Character Limit for Documents  (NeosAI Platinum only)

We’ve upgraded the AI language model powering AI Document Summaries, NeosAI Chat, AI Document Generation, and AI Executive Case Summary. As a result of this upgrade, the input limit has dramatically increased to approximately 4,000,000 characters, or 1,500–2,000 pages—depending on text density.

Upgrading to Azure AI’s most recent model improves the accuracy and performance of AI-driven features. It can now handle much larger documents and more complex cases, saving firms even more time per case.

Take advantage of the new powerful model through NeosAI Chat, Summaries (Documents, Images, Cases), and AI Document Generation.

Enhanced AI Document Generation with Contextual Documents  (NeosAI Platinum only)

Generate more precise and informed documents by easily incorporating relevant data from existing case documents.

  • Enables the AI to use additional documents as context, producing more comprehensive, accurate, and relevant outputs.
  • Minimizes manual review and data gathering by automatically referencing key details from related document summaries.
  • There is a new data source for AI Tags: Documents Data.
    • When selected, users will be able to select the document type(s) to include as context in the prompt to NeosAI.
  • Can be set by default in Settings > AI Tags.
  • Can be added during document generation with NeosAI in the Review Content step.
  • For each selected document type, the Document Name, Document Type, Document Category, Date Added, and Document Summary will be included as context.
    • Only documents that have a generated summary will be included.

New Enhancements
Contact Management Usability  (Customer Request)

Several highly user-requested improvements to contact management have been implemented. (Refer to Neos Portal Idea 2544, 2762, 2740, and others.)

Increasing the usability of Neos contact management features boosts customer efficiency, satisfaction, and productivity.

  • When the Addresses, Phone Numbers, Emails, or Online Accounts tables are empty, a “+” button now appears, allowing users to easily add new entries.
  • Address Cards now display key details such as:
    • Address type, lines 1 and 2, city, state, zip, county, and default status.
    • Salutation and contact information appear when available.
    • A dropdown menu offers options to Copy, View/Edit, or Delete.

  • The Addresses table now shows up to three addresses by default. If more exist, a “View All” link appears.
    • Clicking “View All” opens a grid view displaying all addresses. It includes a three-dot menu with options to Copy, View/Edit, or Delete.
  • Addresses can be reordered in grid view—moving an address to the top sets it as the default.

  • The banner containing the Actions dropdown, Discard, and Save Changes buttons now remains visible at all times.
    • All functionality previously found under the ellipsis (⋯) menu has been consolidated into the Actions dropdown.
  • Users can now associate a text message with any case involving the contact, even if the contact is not listed as a direct party on the case.
    • This functionality mirrors the New Time Entry experience, allowing users to select from a dropdown or search directly for a case.
    • A search icon has been added to the case selection dropdown. Clicking the icon or pressing Enter opens the Select a Case modal.
    • The Post to Case dropdown displays a list of cases where the contact is a party, along with a visible Search Cases… link to open the case search modal.
  • In the Party tab details view, Contacts tab side pane, and Case Contacts Phone Numbers grid, the current case number is automatically populated in the Post to Case field.
  • In the Contact Detail view, the New Text Message button is now located within the Actions dropdown and has been relabeled to “Send Text Message."

Flexible AI Tags with User Data Tabs (NeosAI Platinum only)

Save valuable time by pre-defining which case-specific user tabs (1-10) should be automatically included in AI-generated documents.

Users can modify the data sources included in the prompt to generate a case summary specifically for this instance, so that they can exclude irrelevant information.

  • Enables precise control over which case details are included or excluded from summaries, resulting in more relevant and focused outputs.
  • Improves clarity and decision-making by ensuring summaries highlight only the most critical and pertinent case information.

Add User Tabs 1-10 to AI Tags

  • When creating or editing an AI Tag, users can designate User Tabs 1–10 as default data sources.
  • If a tab is selected in the AI Tag and enabled for the case, its data will be automatically included in the prompt to NeosAI.
  • Tabs that are not enabled in the case will be excluded.

Modify Data Source

  • Users can now choose to save their selected data sources as the default for future Case Summaries.
  • When this option is enabled, the data sources chosen in the current case will be applied by default to summaries of future cases.
  • When disabled, the selections will apply only to the current case.
  • Record-level selections within list-based data sources will apply only to the current case, regardless of the default setting.
Simplified Multi-Document Selection for AI Chat  (NeosAI Platinum only)

Users can now select and add multiple documents to AI Chat at once.

This new feature significantly reduces the time spent uploading and managing documents individually significantly, enabling users to streamline their workflow.

  • Open a case or intake > NeosAI Chat > + > Add a Document > select up to 5 documents to add to chat.
  • Drag and drop up to five documents into the chat side pane.
  • All selected documents will be automatically added to the conversation.
Advanced Search Enhancements

Users can now access Advanced Search from the top navigation menu.

Discard Button

New Discard button is now available.

Enhanced Dynamic Layout Reporting

  • Users can now include columns from the parent case in Dynamic Layout search results within Advanced Search.
  • The default search results include the Case Number, Case Name, and the columns defined within the Dynamic Layout.
  • Users can also include any additional columns available when searching for Cases—such as Case Dates, Case Staff, First Party information, and more.
  • Users can now filter by and display information about the linked parent record in search results.
    • Linked Parent Type: Indicates the type of record the Dynamic Layout is a child of (e.g., Case, Document, Insurance, etc.)
    • Linked Parent Title: Displays the title of the record that the Dynamic Layout is a child of (e.g., if the parent is a Case, this will show the Case Name).

Drag and Drop Columns

Users can now drag a column to the grouping header to group by that column. If a user wants to group by three columns, they can rearrange the columns in the drag-and-drop area to change the grouping order.

Grouping is still available in the 3-dot menu.

Reports

If a report is shared, users will see the shared icon in the saved "As" report. If the report is private, the "Mine" icon will be displayed instead.

When users make changes to a saved report, they'll now see the 'discard' button to remove any new changes.

Calendar Invite - Organizer Blank

Calendar invites with a blank Organizer are now fully editable.

Once the event is open, you can click "Send to Outlook" or make any changes directly and click Save.

Sort by UDF Fields:

User Defined Fields (UDFs) are now sortable.

You can now click on column headers to sort data within User Defined Fields, making it easier to organize and analyze information.

New Version of Zapier Requires Zap Updates

New version of Neos Zapier integration now available! This new version includes changes that will prevent us from automatically updating installed Zaps. Therefore any existing Zap will need to upgrade to the newer version and the existing version will be marked as "Deprecating."

Get more details on deprecating apps and how to upgrade with this article: Deprecating Steps/Upgrade

We’ve officially marked it for deprecation by the end of February 2026, and you’ll have until then to upgrade any existing Zaps to the latest version.

  • We added 3 new steps:
    • Create New Case - The Create New Case action in the Neos Zapier app allows you to automatically create a new case in Neos.
    • File Upload - The File Upload action in the Neos Zapier app allows you to automatically upload a document to an existing case or intake.
    • Post Note - The Post Note action in the Neos Zapier app allows you to automatically create a note on an existing case or intake.
  • Create Intake update:
    • Changed field names (Functionality is all still the same, but the new name is more indictive of the data being passed through since the intake data coming in to Zapier can be from other sources besides emails):
      • EmailBody is now Note.
      • Attachment is now File.
      • Metadata field removed.
